The #EvergreenStrong Community Recovery Fund has approved the following additional disbursements from donations received:

• Financial support for living expenses to the family of Matthew Silverstone.

• Support of arts activities for students co-sponsored by Center for the Arts Evergreen and Resilience1220.

• Support for Evergreen Middle School -- increasing security cameras and helping with wellness programs.

A request from Parmalee Elementary for radio equipment was withdrawn, as the school district will provide those.  We have been notified that requests from Wilmot and other schools are forthcoming.

 

The Fund will support the proposed "Longer Tables" community event on January 5 and 6 at The Barn at Evergreen Memorial Park in Marshdale.  The event will be a free dinner to bring together the community impacted; 500 individuals can be accommodated over the two nights.

 

Response to the VitalHearts Resiliency Training for medical personnel and first responders has been significant.  The #EvergreenStrong Community Recovery Fund is considering additional scholarships for more people to attend.

 

To date, more than $117,000 has been raised, and $56,000 has been disbursed or allocated for disbursement.
